As a personal project to learn the Unreal Engine and get to know some of it’s more out-of-the-box solutions for that Unity doesn’t have I decided to try to create the basis of a 3rd Person Shooter. I wasn’t planning on making a full game but just some features. This included, weapon animations, player animations, gun inventory system, weapon properties, etc.
The finished product definetly has some flaws. Such as the aimed weapon does not shoot directly where the player is aiming and the player animations do look a bit funky at some times. However, I do think this was a well worth project to learn some of the core concepts of Unreal Engine.
