At ISS Innovation Hub Lancs I worked on a project to bring spots from Lancaster University campus into Virtual Reality to allow the University to show off their campus when attending fairs around the world, such as to their partner campuses. I first tackled Lake Carter as it allowed us to show off the beautiful nature around the Campus. This was a challenge though due to foliage such as trees and grass are very performant heavy on machines due to their detailed makeup. I solved this challenge by using LODs and imposters, reducing the detail of further away objects.
